I've always carried either thumb-break leather or kydex 'snap-in' holsters, but recently have been looking at something like a Serpa or the 5.11 Thumb Drive for a little extra security. Problem is that some events will not allow Serpas and initial reviews of the ThumbDrive are not good (bad grip positioning to activate thumb switch requires regripping during draw).
Are there other Glock-friendly holsters out there utilizing similar second locking mechanisms but without the pitfalls (or perceived pitfalls) of the Serpa or the ThumbDrive?
I need something that I can quickly snap into (no time to snap a thumb break together during a stage or pull a lanyard up) but offers just one more level of retention that works as designed and allows fast and easy draws?
