Best .380 round for self defense?

I'm surprised that with that extra weight and sectional density that the golden sabers don't penetrate more.

I used Cor-Bons, golden sabres, gold dots and silver tips... all with good results. This was from a Bersa Thunder 380 which I no longer have.

I thought Marshall and Sanow favored the 90gr Hyrdra shok? My PPK/S feeds flawless with silvertip also.
