I've never had a .44 Mag case give up the ghost, other than ones that I've mashed somehow. I have had Remington brass (4-20 round boxes) which had noticably off center flash holes. Can't tell if it made any difference. I'll save them for non crucial uses anyway.
I had a Remington .30-30 case split at the shoulder after 1 or 2 reloads. I believe that's the only rifle case that has failed without due cause.
I'll shoot Remington but it's not what I look for. In .44, Federal is my favorite. It feels nice when you crimp it, if that makes sense. Federal was also the best shooting factory ammo for me, back when I was still using the stuff.
