As I understand it, due to some rules about 5.45x39 and ammo that is “armor penetrating”, there are no 5.45x39mm pistols for sale. There are options for 5.45x39 rifles. I would like to get an AK-74 and SBR it to a traditional Krinkov configuration. What are my best options? Does anyone make a 5.45x39 AK that is in the Krinkov configuration, but with a longer barrel (thereby making it easy to just cut the barrel shorter)?
I already have the M92 PAP in SBR format and M85NP (soon to be SBR). I mention that because I know that other calibers are easier to come by with respect to what I am trying to do, but I want a 5.45x39.
Mods, please keep this thread in the rifle forum as it will likely get more views/responses and I am asking about a rifle which I intend to convert into an SBR vice squarely NFA information. Thanks.
