I have a cw9 it has been flawless with all ammo except wolf steel case. the wolf had numerous ftf. I recommend something slim like the kahr or the new ruger sr9. The slimness gives you alot more carry options. I carry iwb and my kahr is comfortable to wear and comfortable to shoot.

I would not get the taurus. I know lots of people wouldn't agree with me but4 i will never own a taurus auto in my entire life. Their triggers suck. When i shot one it stove piped every 3-6 shots. Terrible gun. May have been a lemon tho. It was a rental.

out of your list 2 stand out to me. The sig p225 and the ruger sr9. I recently discovered a short while ago that i'm a ruger guy and i'm beginning to love ruger autos (that's actually not a good thing because i'm tight on money but i have 5 purchase permits...lol!.) I also like sigs all though not as much as rugers. Both would be a great choice for a CCW.

FWIW:

My previous all time favorite cc 9mm pistol the P99c/AS has been replaced by the new SLIM Walther PPS..

Here's why:

All of my Walthers have been 100% reliable, and amazingly accurate..

Just options.

whatever is on that grip i want some for my sigma (don't feel bad about defacing it a little) which i find to be very comfortable, it's light, i think 22-24 oz unloaded, has great capacity to grip ratio, no odd protrusions to dig you, and it's less blocky than the G19. plus they are very affordable, and if you ever need to use it and it becomes evidence, way cheap to replace. people say the trigger is awful but i'm not knowledgable enough about trigger feeling to comment. it does feel gritty and maybe a bit soggy when dry-firing, to be honest i never notice when i'm shooting.

johndeeere1979 after a little more research i am now leaning towards the Kahr CW9 here are a few reasons why!

1. Size
2. i reload and like shooting cast lead bullets (can't do that in a glock or a Kahr PM9 or P9)

are there any known problems with the CW9

I just recently got a CW9. My wife has ahd a P9 fpr a while and loves it.
I too like to relaod cast lead..and that was a reason I bought the CW9.

I also have a G19 and a Keltec P11.

For me the G19 is uncomfortable to carry...too bulky. I find my Kimber UCII in 45ACP is more comfortable for carry than the G19.

If its not comfortable to carry, you leave it at home...and it does no good there!!!!!!

Ive only run about 200 rds thu the CW9, 125 LRN over 4.0W231. Flawless so far. The trigger break feels good......accuracy is good...and its a joy to carry!!!!!!
Since I havent got a custom holster for it..Ive been using a belly band under my sweatshirt.....sweet! DOnt even know that its there.

Some say not to run lead throught the G19 because of the rifling......Ive done so on a limited basis......maybe 500-600 rds....with cleanings at 100 or so. Never had any problems...but standard rifling would be better.

Anyway...good luck on your decision.

I have a P225 and its a GREAT little pistol, I also carry a Bersa Thunder and the RAI Compact .45... so now all 9mm but very nice little pistols indeed.

FNG here.... I carried a Glock 26 for quite a while but now carry a S&W CS9 in a Sparks VMII. Very comfortable.

Best CC 9mm

Hi, First off....I think the 9mm is a great cc round and don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
Remember now...."all these replies are only our personal opinions and experiences" but YOUR the last word in whats best for you. It's your money thats paying for the gun.
I have owned and cc the Glock 26 and S&W M&P9c and both are great guns, but they weren't my choice for cc for one reason or another none of which had anything to do with the weapons performance, but rather design things like comfort, lack of an external safety, etc. I now have and like very much for cc in 9mm: 1.) Springfield EMP and 2.) Sig P239. These two little 9's are very reliable, accurate (I can shoot them both equally well), fit my hands and are comfortable to shoot. They have safeties, decockers and most importantly I feel safe, confident and comfortable with either on the inside or outside my waistband.:)
My recommendation is: Take your time and shoot anything and everything several times/rounds that your considering before buying. IF IT DOESN'T FEEL COMFORTABLE TO HOLD AND SHOOT, YOU DON'T LIKE THE SIGHTS, ETC....THEN LOOK SOMEMORE.

Good luck

/\/\ I handled one of those M&Ps at a store Sunday. It felt pretty good in my hand.
Ive been carrying my XD9 4", but if I bend over any the grip prints, and when I stand up my shirt gets pinched behind it. So if I dont get a XD9 SC I may get a M&P 9c. I think theres a $50 rebate on the M&Ps until April I think was the date.

Or I may just go with a pocket gun and not worry with carrying big power, unless Im dressed heavy, or OCing.

Browning HiPower

I don't know. There are some good 9mm that are small, but I'd say it would depend on your hand, body size, grip size, etc. If you're big, then a tiny toy sized weapon wouldn't be good. Moreover, it would be hard to handle in an emergency situation. Also, will you conceal in a pocket, pants, jacket, backpack, etc.? For me, I really like the Browning HiPower. I'm 6'1" and 230lb, and it really fits my hand well without being too small. The width of the HiPower is VERY narrow. Almost unbelievably so. Even with a 13 round clip. Easily tucked and invisible, but I like to use a pancake holster and a shirt untucked. But, that's me. I like what the other posts say too. Frankly, I can carry my full sized 9mm Beretta and no one notices.

Not listed as an option but a S&W 3913 would be very hard to beat. Though a little fatter (to hold more rounds), the 6906 is my personal favorite.

I've had a CW9 for a while. Fine little carry gun. There's no reason to get a .380 in the same size package, such as the SIG P232, Bersa Thunder 380, or Walther. The Kahr is virtually the same size, lighter than either, and is chambered for a more potent round that is cheaper to shoot. .380 cost almost 2x as much as 9mm around my neighborhood. Less bang for the buck. ;-)

I've nothing against guns like the Glock 19, Ruger SR9, SIG 229, etc, but that's really a different size category totally.

The CW9 is much smaller and handy to carry. It's pushing the envelope of pocket pistols, but I employ mine that way sometimes in a Desantis Nemesis holster. One just has to choose ones pants carefully to make it work. Inside the waistband it is very slim and comfortable. About $410 around here on sale.

I posted last month on this topic and said I got a Bersa ultra compact 9mm!

I sold it for the Kahr cw9.

The bersa was a good gun no problems just a bit to big for me to carry comfortably.

The kahr cw9 is a dream to carry, shoot well and is a great choice like alot of other people said. Also it is cheap comparied to other kahrs. Only comes with one mag however. Factory mags can be 40$ as well.

Background is cammo shorts if you where wondering.

My CZ82 is a great size for carry. Now finding hollow points is a bit of a problem. I also have the Cougar 8000, which is very close in size to the Bersa UC9 and Sig P6. Anyone conceal carry the Cougar? Seems a bit wide for carry (comparing to my CZ82).

PX15 is correct. If you don't carry the Walther P99C, you should definitely give strong consideration to the new Walther PPS. Both are superbly made, wonderfully reliable, and highly accurate.
