I was also going to vote for a G19, but with that said my CZ 75 Pre-B eats everything I feed it, but it's a steel gun. By eliminating Glocks and steel guns off your candidates of guns that will reliably fire pretty much any cheap bow bow ammo you have greatly subtracted from you're options as both Glocks and CZ 75's are two of the best candidates for that. Are you wanting a hammer so that you can de-cock the gun with a round cambered?
I'm sorry, but if you want a extremely reliable gun that will hold up to most any abuse and beg for more, and fire anything, anytime you pull the trigger then taking Glocks off your gun option list because you just have some bias against the brand Glock is pretty stupid, and people do it all the time. I was never a Glock fan, but I wanted a 10mm, and I feel the G20 is the best 10mm bang for the buck with all things considered, and after owning a Glock I have come to really appreciate just how good a gun it really is, and I don't even think it looks that bad anymore. I wouldn't have believed I would say this before buying my Glock, but it's actually even become my favorite gun, and I've very fond of all my handguns. I like it so much that I'm currently looking around for a good deal on a Gen3 G19. Hell if someone dared me I'd probably throw my glock in the mud and pick it up and empty a magazine with it just to show how good it is. That's one of the cool things about Glock, you just don't care if they get abused some because they just hold up to it. I could probably throw either my 1911 or CZ 75 in the dirt and pick them up and fire them, but I guarantee you that I never would, and would probably have a fit if I dropped one of them in the dirt by accident, and would go home and clean them really good. With my Glock I'd feel comfortable spraying it off with a water hose and calling it good until I got some free time to sit down and clean it. To me my Glock is like my DD truck that's my primary vehicle that I work, and that's reliable and doesn't let me down, and that I could care less if it gets a little dirty, and my other guns are like my sports car that I want to keep looking nice, but not drive it around all the time even though they would work fine in that roll.
It sounds to me like you are trying to buy a tool from your description and not fancy gun that you drool over. A Glock would feel the requirement you've posted perfectly other than it not having a hammer. JMO
