Like the title says, picked up a Glock 26, and going to clean it today, take to range tomorrow afternoon. Was wondering what the best kind of 9mm round is to run through it both for range time and for carry/protection. Any help would be great!

i've had one or two failures to fire with military ammo (spain i think) it went off with the second trigger pull. Other than that any us ammo should work fine and dandy

My usual practice ammo comes off of my Dillon 550B 115 FMJ at around 1150FPS

mine is loaded with 147 grain hst at the moment

now get out and shoot that thing:D

I load my G26 with Federal BPLE +P+, loaded to 1300fps.

This ammo, however, is hard to find.
I was lucky to find a couple boxes on Cheaper Than Dirt before they became the Internet's worst price gougers.

That said, 9mm ammo is ubiquitous.
Just about any decent hollow point will do!!

This include CCI Blazers with the aluminum cases AKA Wal-Mart cheap stuff? I too am looking to get a G26 around August, but in my G19 the aluminum CCI Blazers are the only thing that stove-pipe.

WWB target for range and any top shelf 147grn JHP for self defense...Currently use Speer Gold Dots for self Defense...

Mine works best with 9mm. It jams up on .40s.

Joking aside, any FMJ for range duty and Speer 124 +P for carry.

G-26 shoots anything. Cheepest for range. For PP, carry what is reliable in "your gun" and shoots to point of aim. +P's and other hot ammo seems to be the most common carried by PD's. A small dept. near me used to prefur
the 147g hydra-shoks.
Shot placement is the most important with any brand I feel.

Great gun, enjoy,be safe.

Mike
