howdy there. I am loading for a cz 527 varmint. In .222 rem using 50 grain bliztking how does the nos bt compare with the bt in your opinion. Thanks in advance. Wj kerr
You'll find that the 222 Rem is a very easy round to load for accuracy. The Sierra's are usually great as is the Nosler BT.
I'm finding the Nosler custom competition 52gr BTHP to be promising in most of my .224 centerfires.
I've had good results with the 40 grain Hornady Vmax and the 50 grain Hornady SX. In fact, pretty much any bullet I've loaded shoots fine. Kind of odd, because no factory ammo I've tried shoots worth beans.
My .222 groups best with the Sierra 52gr Match Kings but the Sierra 50gr JSPs are close and what I use for varmints. I have tried most of the 50br bullets and all were good but the Sierras do the best. I usually use 22gr of H322.
