Whos got the best buy on .223 ammo right now??? I'd like to pick up 200-500 rounds... 200 is probably more in my range... But if the price is right I might get 5-600...

This will be for feeding my Bushmaster AR...

The best deal I have found is Silver Bear .223 62grn 500 rounds for 119.00 that like .24 cents a round before shipping...

But I'm a bit hesitant to buy much ammo with any Bear, Wolf or any animal of any color out of my AR....

I've never had any troubles with it, but I've read all the horror stories about Brown bear and the likes frequent jams and ARs being a bit pickier than the AKs... Not to trying to start a flame war or debate, just want to grab a bunch of decent priced ammo...

My two shooting buds and I like to go to the range as often as possible... We go through a decent amount of ammo and it adds up quick..

I've been stocking up on Ultramax and Black Hills remanufactured ammo when I can. Ultramax is okay; maybe have averaged two or three duds through a thousand rounds. Black Hills Blue Box has gone up quite a bit since last year, but even so I can occasionally find it at a half way decent price if I shop around a bit. I was also picking up Fiocchi ammo for a while there because the price was right; unfortunately so did everyone else, and know it's gone as well. I am a little more than hesitant about buying Wolf ammo, or any Russian steel cased ammo, just because I've heard so many negative things about it, and I don't want to ruin a perfectly good AR-15 just to save a little money on practice ammo.

would be my pick for new brass cased lead core.

If you're not reloading though I don't think there's anything wrong with buying a small quantity of russian steel cased stuff and if it works for you, using it.

Agreed Soybomb - A good choice for sure. Or this from ATG You would have to figure in shipping to know for sure, but it looks like Wideners would be cheaper. Wideners has always been a good source for quality cheap ammo when they have it.

Best Buy sells ammo now?
