best defensive pistol instructors/courses in/around NC

Hello all,

I'm thinking about sending my wife and I to a defensive/tactical handgun course as part of our Christmas this year. We both go to the range to punch holes in paper with regularity but neither of us have taken a defensive/tactical course. I'd like to start expanding our skill set so I'm curious who you all would recommend in NC, western VA or eastern TN.

With Louis gone, I'd be looking at some of the other nationally known itinerants who might be cycling through the region. There's some worthwhile reading on selecting a trainer in the Library (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=571476) as well as the existing list of schools, which is always a work in progress (I can NEVER get it caught up).

Take a look around there, and see if anything catches your eye ... and if you find any dead links, please let me know . And if you want more, keep asking here...
