I was at a big used book sale today that a local women's group holds every year. Today was 1/2 price day.

So I'm browsing through the tables in the political science section when what do I find? A signed copy of Wayne Lapierre's "The Global War on Your Guns: Inside the UN Plan To Destroy the Bill of Rights" Not like it's a signed copy of The Bible or Notes of a Sniper, but it was still a good find for a buck. Not too much else worth mentioning other than "In the Eye of the Storm: The Life of General H. Norman Schwarzkopf", a few books of military fiction, and a good book on blackjack strategy.

I've found a lot of good gun books in those used book stores. One of my favorites is "Small arms of the world," by W.H.B. Smith. Stackpole Books, revised 1969.

Out of date now, but has detailed information on such things as Mosin-Nagant 91/30s and SKSs. From the days before they got popular.

Big book. Big. Four pounds, I guess. I think I paid $3.00 for it in 1980.

Sometimes I could swear used book stores price the books by weight.
