Basically yeah. Her story was she pulled it on her boyfreind the night before when they were both drunk and she wanted it out of the house. So she might need to reconsider owning a gun in the first place. So i feel no shame.

AHHH, more to the story. I see. In all honesty, it doesnt sound as though either of them were mature enough for a gun.

Picked up a Marlin model 70P "Papoose" for $99.00 + tax in excellent condition. Came with bag, tool, and original box from Marlin. I was just looking for a clean, cheap, mag-fed .22 plinker and that is exactly what i got. It now rides behind the seat in my truck.

had a WW2 vet friend of mine hand me a wooden cigar box on july 4th when we attended a fireworks display for a museum we belong to( he is a ww2 sub vet, i restore marine steam engines for the museum)box was wraped with duct tape and he told me not to open it until i got home, being curious i asked, he wouldn't tell. when i got home inside was a 1916 erfurt luger missing all it's blueing, but it was complety matching right down to the clip. took all of 4 days to restore by rust blueing it, now my carry gun

HK USP .45 from a cop friend who bought it new with night sites,3 mag's,the fancy HK range bag, and leather duty holster. Shot his yearly qualification and chief said "I don't like HK, sell it and get a Sig or Glock" :banghead:

So being the friend I am I offered $400 to help with the price on the new purchase! :D

He still ask's how "His gun is"

lets see... I recently picked up a Weatherby vanguard VGX delux in .270 for $700.00.... did I mention it has a leupold VXIII w/adjustable objective sitting on top of it?

not long before that I picked up a New Steyr M9-A1 for $425 OTD... Love that gun!!!!!!!!!

A gun/pawn shop purchase. A little Winchester .22 pump that they wanted $150 for. Looked pretty decent & I didn't have a .22 pump @ the time so I bought it, figuring how can I go wrong w/ an old Winchester. Turned out to be a 98% mod. 61 w/ grooved receiver, circa 1958.

From a Friend, I picked up a Springfield M1A Scout Squad in Mossy Oak with 5 20rd mags, and a soft case for $575. The gun is in excellent condition, a few small scratches on the stock, but I'm planning on replacing it anyway.

As I am married with two kids, and short on cash, he took pity on my situation, being that he had 4 M1A's, we bartered a price I could afford, and he could live with :)

I now consider him family :D

I was poking around a backwoods gun shop, didn't really see anything I wanted, then I happened to see a rack of guns against the very back wall. Picked an old mil-surp off the third rung, the tag said "Swedish Mauser". Carl Gustav, made in 1900, shiny bore, furniture a little bit banged up. $175 + background. Very calmly paid and left.

Propane and propane accessories are great things.
Boy I tell you what.

I bought my Mossberg 500 from a local store at a 'scratch and dent' price because it had apparently been dropped and was pretty scarred up. Whatever had marked the reciever and barrel up came off with solvent. After oiling it the thing looks brand new to me.

My cousin bought either a 91/30 or m44 for like $25 because it had a broken shell in the reciever.

I just got a Kimber Custom II with 3 sets of grips, 100 rounds of HydraShok, and 100 rounds of FMJ for 600 bucks. I think overall a very good deal.

About 2 years ago, I found a Charter Arms .38 snubby Undercover, slightly used, for $85. Shoots pretty well, too.

5 years ago i was working a gunshow, and on sunday morning had time to walk around. at a table run by a milsurp bolt gun lover i saw a FAL pistol grip. i asked what happened to the rest of the gun, and the fellow pulled a box out from under the table with two complete british L1A1 marynyl kits, and most of the third. he wanted bolt guns, so i traded him an M48A mauser, a few bandoleers of turk, and $200. did i mention that there was an early entreprise receiver in the box, too? i ended up building a "looks like and L2A1" and selling off the rest, so have a $1000 gun for free.

then there is the LNIB P226 i bought from a friend for $300.

and the milled poly legend with all accsys NIB i bought at auction for $600.

Recently, I stopped by a gun store near my car dealership and found a vintage Charter Arms Undercover .32S&W in about 90% condition for $165. The shop also had a set of wrap-around factory grips for $25 dollars; also picked up a box of ammo, the whole thing cost me about $230.

Recently I bought a S&W Airlight .38 model 637 with Crimson Trace grips for $590. The price was mismarked, I think it was supposed to be around $660. They realized it was mismarked but gave it to me anyway for the tagged price. This was at at the local Cabelas store.

Ruger New-model Single-Six Convertible with the .22LR & .22MAG cylinders, 6.5" barrel, adjustable sights and walnut grips. Was stuck in the bottom back of a case of cowboy guns. Was thinking about buying a Heritage Rough-Rider .22 convertible for a plinker for the kids for $180. Happened to just barely see this ruger in behind the Blackhawks and Vaqueros. It looked and felt cruddy (as in, had been shot a bit and then sat a long time unoiled and uncleaned) but I could see it had lots of potential and it was a Ruger! Turned out to be a 1982 model that had never been cleaned. Took it all the way apart, cleaned it up, polished and lubed and put it back together to reveal an honest 95% blueing gun with excellent mechanicals. For $219 plus tax- I didn't even haggle.

Two incidents, first the seller mismarked a M-4 clone for the same price as an CAR style rifle on his table at a gun show. Was in the market, and grabbed it pretty quickly, (actually I had him get it, so he knew I did not mess with the tag) to his credit he honored the price he had put on the rifle.

Next one got a Browning .380 auto, almost brand new from Pruitts Guns and Ammo in Houston for $299 a couple of years ago! I had been looking for one off and on for a few years, and immediately bought it. It was about $150 less than I had been seeing them.

And finally a new .300 Win Mag. Acera from Gander Mountain for $350.
