Best loads 44mag/44spc 240 semi-wad ?

My most-used handloads are with the .44's, commerical 240gr SWC's and Unique powder.

.44Spl - 6.0gr Unique (or 5.0gr Titegroup) for 750fps (a factory duplication load).

.44Spl - 7.5gr Unique for 950fps (Skeeter's load and perfect for general purpose use).

.44Spl - 17.0gr 2400 for 1200fps (Keith's load, for dedicated hunting use, only in suitable sixguns).

.44Mag - 10.0gr Unique for 1150fps (duplicates Keith's .44Spl load in Magnum brass).

A problem that I also have is old powder. I am sure it was stored well, and in a dry desert environment. But just off hand, I have old Du-pont Powders-- like number 4, and number 6. This is just to name a few. I need to ask about this specifically on the forum.

.44Sp - 4.9gr Win231 w/ 240gr SWC or RNFP. This is Winchester's listed Cowboy load and what I shoot mostly. I avg. ~700fps out of 4 5/8" and 5 1/2" barrels, 860fps from a 16" barrel.

I've also loaded the 6gr Unique load noted above for .44Sp. Haven't loaded any .44Mag in quite awhile, so I'd have to dig that info up.
