I bought some sight paint from Tru-Glo and was not impressed to say the least. Anybody have experience with a luminescent sight paint that works better? I'm going to use plain white-out for now but I know it's not that durable.

Testers Model Enamel paint in the little square bottles is as good as you can get.

To glow in the dark without a light charge first is impossible without running afowl of the Atomic Energy Commission.

The answer to that is Tritium night sights that are approved, and perfectly legal.

I'm fine with needing a light charge. My gun sits on the table under the kitchen lights when I get home.

The sights on my LCP aren't replaceable or I'd go the tritium route.

Try Nitesighters. They adhere fairly easy and glow in the dark. They come in different sizes and are inexpensive.

Cathy, look for glow in the dark egress marking tape. It glows 12+ or 24+ hours on a 30 minute light charge. The technology is used for power failure exit path marking all over the world now. The active ingredient is Strontium Aluminate. You can also look for high concentration Strontium Aluminate paints, but most are water based. However, you can also buy Strontium Aluminate powder and use it to dope white oil based or enamel based paints, or dope clear nail polish. Check Amazon and eBay for highly rated products and sellers.
