Anyone know the best daytime sites to put on a Sig P220? It will be my first gun, but I still want the best to start off with I do not want night sites. What are the different types, and what works best for you?
I too, like the stock Sig sights. But I believe I like the Hienie sights a bit better. The sights are just a bit taller and it seems to help me pick up the sights quicker.
I prefer the stock Sig bar-dot sights, BUT I made a simple modification to them. I purchased a set of neon craft paints. I painted the front sight bright neon green (actually, I mixed neon yellow and neon green) and originally painted the rear bar the same color, but then decided to try an orange rear bar, which seems to allow even faster target acquisition, so I have an orange rear bar and a neon green front dot. FAST target aquisition, and the stock sights are already very accurate. No need to change them. If you DO change them, Heine Pro Slants or Straight Eights are nice too, and a bit taller I think.
