Who's got a good source for Tikka magazines? I have a need for a few extra T3 223 Varmint or Tactical mags...

I used to have a Tikka. Loved the rifle, but I never found a source that had them in stock. I found several places that showed them on their website, but they were always "out of stock". I asked a local gunshop to order some. The guy was nice enough to take one out of a rifle he had in the stock room and sell it to me. He said he would order a replacement for that rifle

I have since traded the rifle for something else that is no longer in production that I wanted. I can always get another Tikka, and may do so someday.

Good Luck!

If I do go with this rifle, I'll have my Dealer check on mags, and get you a few if you want me to, thats if he can get them.

I don't know of a "good" source, but have purchased magazines from Thegunsource.com. When I bought mine I picked up a T3 3-round magazine for $54.20. They also had 4 and 6 round magazines for $67.99.

I've purchased items from Ableammo.com, and they carry T3 magazines. Also, Impactguns.com, tikkaprecision.com, and midwesthuntersoutlet.com carry this item. I've not seen many that sell for less than $67.00, which seems to be a universal price.

More places are starting to carry the magazines. It's not necessarily difficult to find them on-line, but at a reasonable price is another matter.

Hope this helps!

Ah, but after you've shot one, and looked at how the rifle cost you less than a Remington 700 CDL or equivalent - you'll GLADLY pay the stupid price for the mags.

Amen, RBernie!

That's why I've purchased four Tikkas. They shoot great, handle even better, and are quite affordable compared to many other offerings.

Also, the price of polymer is not a lot cheaper (or less expensive - depending on your perspective), for guns like the Browning X-bolt and A-Bolt. Those magazines cost $50.00 for the X-Bolt replacement and $62.00 for the A-Bolt replacement. Somewhat less expensive, but still too much for in my opinion for a magazine constructed of synthetic material.

Excellent guns all three are, but the manufacturers' always seem to get into your wallet on replacement parts.

Another way to look at it is $60.00 is cheap insurance to have a fully functional firearm if you are traveling hundreds of miles, and spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a quality hunting trip.

You don't have to like it (the price) but on the hunt of a lifetime, you'll gladly fork it over just to make sure that base is covered.

Just checked Sports South, they have both 3 and 4rd .223 in stock, any dealer than buys from SS should be able to get them. They also have .22-250 and .243/.308 std capacity in stock. We've bought quite a few from SS and they normally have them in stock.
