One of the clerks in my local gun store told me that internet prices are indeed low, but you have to figure in a $ 130 expense of shipping, DROS, and transfer. Is this true, or is he just screwing with me?

I am a gunsmith that works out of my house. I have an FFL, state firearms dealer license and state tax certificate. Under state statute I can not sell firearms retail from my house. Smithing is considered a zero impact cottage industry so I can retail parts and accessories that I provide. I must charge sales tax on the parts and accessories. When I transfer a gun into the state I am providing a service and not selling anything. I do not charge a sales tax on guns I transfer.
