best pocket holster for Kahr PM9?

looking for some advice. recently bought the PM9 and love it..

had a desantis nemesis for my j-frame smith and loved it... bought the same holster for the PM9 and didn't like it at all... too bulky.. i've since seen the same from others..

looking for recommendations.. will be using this in front pocket with dress pants and khaki's during work...

what do you guys like and use... really looking for advice from those who pocket carry this gun on a regular basis..

I also tried the Nemesis with my PM9. It didn't stay put. I also didn't like how it weighed down the front of my shorts and trousers.

I decided to try appendix carry and I bought an inexpensive Uncle Mike's IWB holster to experiment with the technique. I found that appendix carry worked for me and I researched IWB holsters to find one that would best suit my needs. I selected the Milt Sparks Summer Special II, and modified it by trimming off excess leather flaps and using only one belt loop. So far so good. I've been carrying my PM9 this way for two years.

Tough news. None.

If you wear pants that are not bulky, pants that are normal boot cut and you are fit, it is a bulky gun in the pocket.

Grandfatheroaks makes a great kydex (sp?) pocket holster. I liked my pm40 in it that most. Others add too much width.

Remember, the holster wont take less weight away.

Went to a PF-9 then to a P3AT for pocket carry. Others are just too cumbersome in the pocket.

People will disagree. That's fine. Some people pocket carry a glock 26. If you meet the above criteria however there is no room for bulk

+1 on Appendix carry, as I carry my Glock 27 that way. For an office environment, your PM9 would probably work well in an ankle holster ... which would be useful if you're sitting at a desk most of your day.

el cheapo Uncle Mikes pocket holster. Will fit just about anything you care to put in your pocket.

I tried an Uncle Mike's on mine and didn't like it. Being designed to fit a variety of guns, it did not fit mine very well, not allowing my second finger to slide up under the grip. The Mika is made to fit the individual firearm.

I'm a huge fan of RKBA Holsters http://www.rkbaholsters.com hand made by Stephen McElroy.

He has Kahr PM9 holsters available on his website.

I do not have a Kahr PM9, but he has personally made holsters for my Kel-Tec PF-9, Sig P238, and Kel-Tec P32. All are of fantastic quality, ride well in the pocket, and are reasonably priced.

I have a Kel-Tec PF-9 coming in tomorrow, and I just ordered a Concealment Concepts Pocket Pal for it (http://www.concealmentconceptsholsters.com/pocket_holster.html), and will also be picking up a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster for it. I know it's not the same as your PM9, but they both use the same size pocket holster, so I'll let you know how I like each.

If you wear pants with fairly big pockets this is a good one:

Doesn't fit jeans well but Dockers or similar it's a good solution. Features an outer leather panel that completely breaks up the outline of the gun. Looks like you have a wallet in your pocket. Easy to draw from too.

That sounds more like a nightmare. If the gun didn't pound itself to death first, it would do a number on your hand.

A note about carrying the PM9 in most jean pockets: this gun is a little large for such pockets. Although a pocket holster will break up the outline of the pistol so it is not obviously recognizable as one, it will still bulge noticeably and leave little room to get your fingers around the grip.

With the PM9 at .90" width, for me it comes down to dark color pants. A decent reasonably thin pocket holster works, but in lighter color pants the bulge is more noticeable. I don't see how jeans could work unless the pockets are loose.

Mostly I use IWB tuckable or a good OWB concealment holster with an untucked shirt, because the PM9 is just on/over the edge for my pocket needs.

when i'm carrying jeans i'm carrying owb or iwb.. not pocket... I have a feeling im in search of a unicorn.... a holster that will make it smaller than it is.. :banghead:
