For 7mm RM I like:

Reloder 22
IMR 7828 SSC
Ramshot Magnum

Others I've tried that will also work:
Reloder 25
Hodgdon H4831SC
Reloader 19
Ramshot Hunter
IMR 4350

Well I think I have decided to try out the IMR4350 for the first powder in my 7mm. Thanks everyone for the replys. I will definitely be referring back to this thread in case I'm not happy with the powder I've chosen.

If you can find any of the discontinued H870, that powder was known for high velocity. Perhaps a bit dirty, but very fast. A friend of mine loads his 7mm mag from an older hornady load book, 1981 I think, with 180 grain bullet well over 3000 fps. He doesn't reload that brass twice as the primers fall out of the pocket. He has excellent accuracy and can see the bullet hit the target through the scope before the recoil moves his sight picture.

CAUTION: The following post includes loading data beyond currently published maximums for this cartridge. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Neither the writer, The High Road, nor the staff of THR assume any liability for any damage or injury resulting from use of this information.

My opinions on the problems with 7mmRemMag:
1) The cartridge should have been SAAMI registered at 71,000 psi, not 61,000 psi.
2) Published loads for the 7mmRM are mostly way below 61,000 psi.
3) The cartridge chamber should have been SAAMI registered at 0.215" headspace from breech face to the end of the belt, not 0.220", because all the brass is less than 0.215".

So what do I do with the 7mmRM?
1 &2) I hand load to 71,000 psi.
The book load for 162 gr H4350 may be 58 gr, but I am hunting with 67 gr.
3) I headspace the rifles I build for myself at 0.215".
