Are these powders good in the .308?

IMR4350, H4895, H335. These are the three powders I currently have and use for my rifles. I use the 4350 for my 7mm RM and was hoping it might work for the .308 with as good success as I've had in my 7mm RM.

Thanks in advance.

4350 is pretty much only for the heavy end of the 308 scale, they are supposedly good for 180gr but 748 shoots them alot better in my rifle.

Yeah, I had seen the 4350 in my manual but was kind of wondering how they were. I plan on loading probably 165 and 180 maybe 200 grainers

Sorry, misunderstood the question...unfortunately, I have no experience with any of these powders in 308. I have had good accuracy with IMR 4064, but don't know how it compares to these other powders.

If you remember and have the time, I would like to know the results of your reloads with the I 4350.

Thanks,

Jasper

Given a choice between 4895 and 4350 in a 308 I'll take the 4895. It will go bang with any of them and a safe load can be found, but 4350 is one of those I'd only use in a 308 if I ran out of other options. 4895 is one of the better 308 powders.

IMR 4895 will make great loads in 308. Only problem is metering in my Hornady powder measure.

I use 4895 for both 308 & 30.06. Both of these I load fairly low as they are for vintage rifles.

Just picked up some imr4895 since that's all the local store had. Hoping it'll work good.

It will do quite well. I used that before I got turned onto Varget. I don't remember the year Varget was introduced to the market, but it was certainly after I'd been reloading for a while. IMR 4895 was my go to powder for .308 Win.

The 308 really isn't powder sensitive. So many powders work extremely well in this caliber. My preference is Varget and my second choice is H4895.

I have some H4895 I'm going to try as well that I have laying around from doing a reduced recoil load for my daughter. Just to see how it works as well.

And yes I know the powders are not interchangeable.
