If you have academy sports in your area they have them for $400 + tax

I'd say that's about as good as it's going to get. I picked mine up for a little under $500 after shipping and FFL fee. Your friend made an excellent choice. My SP2022 (9mm) has roughly 1100 rds. through it, zero malfunctions, and is my everyday CC in a Crossbreed Supertuck. A great entry level Sig that retains their quality, saves some weight, and doesn't break the bank so I don't feel bad about a little wear and tear from CC. The P226... well I like to keep her pretty.

Edit - the one in your link has the frame stamped "Made in Exeter, NH". If you can find a seller with the "Made in Germany" stamp on the frame, I'd opt for that. The few problems that have been reported are usually with the Exeter frames.
