As far as pumps being made today, my vote goes to the Browning BPS, with honorable mention going to the Ithaca Model 37. As far as pumps from yesteryear, the question is harder for me to answer, but I've owned, shot and liked a lot Winchester Model 12s and Model 97s as well as the Remington Model 31. Imo, no pump shotgun made today is made as well as these last three, in terms of material and workmanship; the Ithaca Model 37 being the possible exception.
