Best SD ammo for 9mm?

There is no correct answer for this question.

"Best"? Our choices are all pure opinion and nothing more than that.

Kinda like asking what flavor of ice cream is "the best".

I like strawberry. :) Does that make it "the best"? For me, it does.

Distilled to its simplest, the real issue is what ammunition you have confidence in. What ammo suits my needs best, may not suit yours and vice versa.

Carry whatever you like.

I don't think anyone here has had experience with the solid copper 93gr bullets you mention, that's why you are getting the runaround. But, judging from solid copper hunting rounds, I would guess that they do not tend to fragment at all. One advantage of a solid copper bullet is that they do not shed the jacket like some lead core JHPs do. However, the light weight + expansion may lead to less than recommended penetration values.

As far as choosing between the 124gr and 147gr hollow points you have, I would go with the 124gr, simply because I don't believe that the subsonic 147gr achieves enough speed to reliably expand. In other words, I would expect much more reliable expansion from the 124gr.

Oh, and regarding the 147gr damaging polygonal rifling, I don't think there is any merit to that claim. What is mentioned occasionally is that un-jacketed lead rounds tend to leave excessive lead build up in polygonal rifled barrels, which if shot a lot and never cleaned could eventually lead to a bore obstruction (Glock, I'm looking at you!). BTW I didn't know Bersa used polygonal rifling in their barrels.
