I think i did mis-word (did I just make that up?) the question. Perhaps i should have asked why pistol do you shoot most accurateltly. Reveover, your included in this. My 38 super is my most accurate, but i shoot tighter patterns with my Springfield.45 lightweight operator. Maybe it is just semantics.

I shoot no gun better than my M&P 9C. That has a lot to do with the over 10,000 rounds I've fired through it. I've owned 1911s, an H&K P7, and I've shot a lot of other pistols. Nothing gives me as much confidence that I can hit anything I shoot at than my M&P. I've even shot steel plates at 200 yards with it. My wife's fullsized M&P is second only because I haven't shot it as much. My FEG PJK-9HP can probably beat my M&Ps in pure mechanical accuracy but not at the ease I can reliably shoot it and be accurate. I hope that makes sense.

That being said, I bought a 3913 about a year ago and that thing is STUPIDLY accurate. On one outing I pulled it out at some beer bottles were were shooting at about 50 yards with my AK47 and in three shots I cleared three bottles. I have a feeling it may give my M&Ps some real competition after I get a few more rounds downrange to build my familiarity with it.

I would guess my S&W Model 41 is my most accurate pistol, followed very closely (closely enough that I can't really tell) by a Nelson conversion unit on a donor 1911 frame. Likely after that is my Wilson Combat Tactical Elite in .45ACP, although my Sig X-5 in 9mm might be right there with it. All of my 1911s are pretty accurate though. Then a Witness Match Elite in 38 Super/9x23 Win, a S&W 4006, a couple Sig P228s, and some CZ clones. Honestly, I don't have a "flyer" pistol in the bunch; aside from the inherent accuracy of the fixed barrel .22s I'm probably most accurate with whatever I've been training hardest with most recently.

My CZ 75D PCR with VZ grips is my absolute best shooting gun. It is one of the older ones with the serrated trigger so my finger doesn't slide down like it does on the flat faced CZ triggers.

That's easy. For me it's a very tight Springfield Mill Spec with a Ed Brown barrel and pretty much Wilson Combat everything else. It doesn't look like much but it shoots great. Very much a sleeper.

At the moment, It is a toss up between a 226 9mm, and a SR1911 for centerfire, and a 22/45 Hunter for rimfire.
The 9mm has a much faster follow up due to reduced recoil but the natural point of the 1911 is always surprising when revisited after it has set in the safe for a while.

The 22/45 just doesn't move. The weight of the bull barrel and timidness of the 22 LR keeps the front iron nearly stationary as I send the paper killers down range.

I cant tell for sure the overall best shooter purely because I haven't fired them all yet. But I surly look forward to finding out.

It's almost too hard to say anymore. I have a real hard time seeing handguns sights these days. They are just too fuzzy for precise shooting.

However, the guns that are the easiest to shoot accurately in my hands have been a Ruger MKIII 22/45 and a nice full size 1911 in .45 ACP.

Sig P220, S&W 629, Ruger MkII, and Taurus PT-145 Millennium Pro. I've shot some nice 1911's but all of the guns above have shot better within their range limits IMO. I'm sure a top notch 1911 would shoot really well but I haven't shoto any of them.

I'm not a particularly good shot, but I sometimes amaze myself with the groupings I get shooting offhand with my Springfield Loaded 1911. I don't know if it's the tighter fit, the better finish, or the full length guide rod, but at combat ranges with rapid fire it makes the target very, very dead.

From a strictly accurate point of view, my Ruger 22/45 mkiii is boringly accurate. As others have said, the combination of the weight of the gun and the poof of the .22 makes it almost too easy.

I don't even like shooting paper with it. It's a lot more fun to make a can dance since I can shoot out the orange dot center mass of a stable target in pretty short order.
