I know it says I'm from Texas, but that may change soon... I may very well be migrating north to Kansas City, Ks. So, does anyone know any good shooting ranges in the KC, Overland Park and KCMO areas.
My definition of a good range:
-Reasonable Caliber Limits: Pistols and rifles allowed, but not anything too huge (like the guy who was showing off his .416b Caliber Bolt Action next to me and the muzzle blast knocked my target down...
)
-Cheap Ammo: If you're going to incorporate a gunshop into your range at least sell some cheap practice ammo.
-If outdoors: Covered Stalls
-If indoors: Good airflow, so I'm not sweating bullets while shooting bullets...
-No Rules against steel cased ammo: "[Looks at box of Wolf .223 in my hand]Umm sir we do not approve of that lesser brand of ammunition on our range, lest it pollute our brass bins..."
On top of that, generally nice and helpful staff, or none at all if Its a good old public range.
