The galco miami classic holster that I have tends to shift around a lot when I wear it, and since I generally carry an HK full size with 12 rounds of 45ACP the butt of the gun shifts down to a point that it doesnt conceal well. I have tried adjusting everyhing on the holster, but the weight of the grip is just to much for the design of the holster to balance. Cost not being an issue, can you think of a holster maker that makes something that would work for me? Since I know this isnt going to be cheap, I would like the best so I buy once and cry once.

I'm pleased with my alessi rig, but what are you trying to conceal a large gun under and how big are you? Consider that you might be trying to do the impossible...

Im 5'9 230lbs rather barrel chested and when the gun is seats correctly it does conceal quite well on me, its the fact that it shifts so the butt is almost pointing towards the floor that causes it to stick out. If it didnt shift around I would be good to go, I generally wear a jacket, sports coat, or jack shirt over it depending on whether its work or leisure.

2yrs after the fact but still a good post.

I have a Galco MC too. They are great for lighter guns. There are others out there that work really well w/ snubbies & ULs.

For full size, stainless guns the 2 best on the block have been mentioned.
Alessi Bodyguard & Andrews Monarch.

The key to comfort & no shift or sag on the gun side is extra mags on the weak side as counter balance.

Carry as many as you need for counter balance. It is not a "need that many booleets" issue.

I carry 2 extra 8rd mags when carrying my Kimber CDP in Alissie BG. That balances well.
I have just ordered a Monarch & it will be for my SA Champion which is heavier. I will be carrying 3 extra 8s in it. It is a balance issue & not a fire power issue.

My mom shoulder carries a LOT. She is 78. Miami Classic for her too. Her counter balance is one extra mag & in the other mag pouch a piece of 1/4" steel plate that fits the pouch. It is for balance.
