close this one out and thanks

Whether it was whim or fancy, who knows. Found a good price on a PP model Walther in .32 ACP that fits in her hand nicely, and has very little recoil. (at least to me). She begged off this weekend since we are in the middle of that Global Warming trend A.G. is talking about with the temps in the teens, LOL.

I put two boxes of ammo through it, mostly ball ammo, but twenty or so SilverTips. It had a very nice pattern at 12 yards, and I'm no Shooter! Her had fully fits round the grip, including the Pinky and the meaty part between thumb and forefinger are well below the slide. Even my ham fist fit fairly nicely.

The weapon was priced well below my threshold, and although its used, there seems to be very little wear, so I'm good-to-go with wife and sons as soon as the weather warms up due to that unusual phenomena called "Spring".

Thanks to all that put forth the various suggestions. I had her try many of them and would have been happy no matter what she picked out.

"CT also lists the compact CZ-75 PCR and P-01. These are very nice guns, inexpensive, but might be a bit heavy for her since they're all steel."

Both the PCR and P-01 are aluminum. And I highly recommend them. The P-01 has a rail and the PCR has no rail but it has a loaded chamber indicator and Novak style low-profile sights. Either gun would be a great choice and fit the bill nicely.
