i was hoping some experienced spotlighters and fox hunters could help me out and let me know the best time they think to go shooting foxes with the shotgun. there seem to be an abundance of foxes about but we dont seem to see many when we go spotlighting (we usually go out about an hour or so after dark with the 12 gauge and the spotlight). when is it best to go? in the early hours of the morning? or even just after the suns up?

I don't know if our foxes are different (UK) but we lamp in the dark 1am 2am,it is very quiet then, and the fox tends to have the confidence to wander.
