Hi Everyone,
I love the size and feel of my Glock 35, but I don't want to put out another $700 for a 34. Not sure which way to go? Who makes the best conversion barrels? I know barrels can cost $200 and up, or should I just buy a brand new 34 slide with the barrel and all internals for $400. Would that protect the longevity of my 35? A Glock 17 is almost $600 out the door.
Is there a web site that has all the Glock info on what models use some of the same parts? Is my desire to fire 9mm in my .40 caliber 35 just a stupid idea? Both calibers of ammo run the same price if you look for the sales.
Here in CA, (my first problem) we are handcuffed by the (ROSTER) of guns approved by who the hell knows. The high capacity magazines go for $20, but the 10 round ones are $30 to $40. Wall to wall rip-offs here on the west coast.
I shot my first weapon, a Ruger 357 revolver, only 3 months ago at age 62 and now I'm hooked. I may move to another state over this, and the fact, that in retirement, I can live way better for less elsewhere. Let's see, in March I shot my first weapon ever, in April I bought a Glock 35, In May I bought a CZ 75, now in June I'm lookin' again, yeah, I'm hooked. Any ideas on what pistols are a must have is also appreciated, rifles are on my radar but at my age, one thing at a time. I did build a cheap AR kit for a friend and it was fairly easy.
I appreciate this web site and all the information gained from all of you more experienced weapons owners, so that is why I have brought this question to you about my 35. Thank you in advance for all your opinions.
