I'm thinking about reloading, and want to price it out and see where I stand. Who sells brass for the best price online? I'll be buying it by the thousand.

I am glad you posted this. I am "new" to reloading...been around guns all my life and am the defacto gunsmith around here...but am new to reloading....so therefore I am also "vulnerable" to wandering into the pasture and stepping in the proverbial poop myself....I looked at gunbroker.com and they have lots of brass at good prices...but I am concerned about quality obviously....look forward to answers to your question myself.....

This site has a reloading components for sale area. Good prices and folks you can trust. Price will vary by caliber. 9MM is cheap:), 357 is not. :what:

brass is kinda cheap to be honest depending on caliber. just gotta look and wait IMHO. I pickup whatever I can at the range and store it till I decide to sell or reload it.

Google is your friend. Use it to scour the web for brass and look at each site frequently as sources can be flush with brass one day and all gone the next. It's a crap shoot. Also check out the many gun forums as members usually (not always) sell brass for less than sites such as Gunbroker.

oncefiredbrass.com has been good to me. I've bought a few thousand from them this year and every transaction has been good. Prices are not bad, they have a lot sorted by head stamp if you like to keep them the same like me but they also have mixed headstamps in bulk, packaging was good and every bag I counted had atleast as many as I paid for, and shipping was fast every time. Also if your looking for something they don't have in stock you can send them an email.

be careful of freigh charges on Gunbroker.com some get ridiculus. Like one i have a bid on now for 250 357 once fired cases. I did not see the freight charge of $14, my fault. and put in a max bid of $10. 250 cases will fit in the USPS flat rate $5 box. But, like I said. my fault did not fully read.

Really have to read the fine print and compare prices new prices.

gibrass.com is a good place to start.

I had the same problem when I started out, then I did a google search for components in my area and was surprised with what was within reasonable distance. Give it a shot.

Check classifieds on gun forums. Some people will charge prices that will lead you believe they're selling gold (not brass), others ask a very good price. And be sure to compare people's prices - you can really tell when someone is selling range brass as a side gig, vs someone who just has a lot of extra brass and is clearing out some room at home.

I just picked up 1000 pieces of once-fired Lake City 5.56 from Brassman Brass for a reasonable price. I was very pleased with the quality of what I got. I only had to toss maybe 10 of them, and some of those were probably my fault at some point in the processing.

As bullseye said "This site has a reloading components for sale area. Good prices and folks you can trust. Price will vary by caliber. 9MM is cheap, 357 is not."

Friends tell me that brassman.com is quick and reputable.
