Not 100% sure why I'm typing this...I guess mostly because I"m grumpy about it. This is the second (and last) time I not only use Brownell's "free shipping" promo, its probably also the last time I use them period.

First off, they're a 3hr drive from me, so fast shipping in nearly any form shouldn't be an issue. Midway USA is darn near the same distance and even with free shipping, they typically get stuff to my door in 2 days. I made the order early Mon morning thinking that surely, I'd have it by tonight for a project I wanted to start (this is not ammo or a FFL item, BTW).

Because of their free shipping promo, and saving a whopping $5, the package has traveled to 3 states, 800+ miles and as of today, has been placed from Fedex in the hands of the USPS and the tracking # no longer works. With it now being out of my state once again, I doubt I'll get it before early next week.

Long story short is this, if you're going to use that option, be prepared for it to take a long time to get it. Brownell's should be more up front with this, for an $5, I would have just paid for the shipping and had it by now.

Welcome to the adult world, you've figured out how companies on the net do shipping. There are always expidited options offered if you absitively, posilutely need something faster. The cheese of stale regret goes good with whine.

Wow...you work for them or something?

What a condescending, pointless, nasty reply. I applaud the way you automatically assumed that I'm a child ignorant to the ways of the world, thanks.

Here's one for ya', hope you like it.

Their competitors don't pull the same stunts, end of line. Crap shipping is part of the "adult world", chum.

They most assuredly do use the same services........so stop acting like some petulant child. They ALL use that, especially for folks who live in more rural areas. It becomes too cost prohibitive for most companies trying to compete with local businesses or the behemoths like Amazon. And now that many states are insisting that online retailers collect sales tax, you will see even more of things like this as online retailers try to survive.

TANSTAAFL, never will be
