Now I do like Smith & Wesson, but I got tired of waiting for mine and changed my order for the BFR and it came in after 1 week of changing my order. I shot it today. I put 50 rounds of 440 gr. Cast Performance through it. What a blast. Now the BFR does not have a muzzle break or compensator. I found it does have a good recoil but not to where I would even consider selling it due to recoil. But do look at the BFR what a great gun. The BFR frame has been proven for several years in the 444 Marlin, 45-70 and the new 450. The top strap on the BFR is a lot more beefed up then the S&W. The single action does not make a difference because most people will be shooting the Smith's in single action mode.

What did that BFR cost you, if you don't mind my asking? How did it compare to the S&W's asking price?

Unless you were going to shoot at a Plane. LOL I did shoot it one handed. There were some local cops there and a couple of them shot my 500 but one guy said no way. So I told him if he shot it, I would shoot it one handed. Well, I shot it one handed. Not bad.
Preacherman, I paid $899.00 for the BFR, I was quoted $839.00 for the Smith.

I saw one with a ten inch barrel yesterday. BFR is appropriate description. $950. $34 for 12 round box of Cor-Bon. Whats next, a 20 mm derringer.
