I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but Magnum Research has released the short frame BFR with 6 chambers for certain cartridges. I believe they are .357 and .44 Magnum. But .41 mag may be on the horizon.

Evidentially, this happened back in late 2019/early 2020. But I didn't get the memo so I figured others may also not be aware of it. It changes my mind about the BFR for .44 Magnum, though I doubt I'll buy one just yet.

It's nice they make it now, but that's not the reason most buy a BFR. It's the 5 shots of rifle calibers like .30-30 and .45-70 that people buy the BFR for.

I'd rather have a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 than a BFR.

Well, the short frame 5-shot guns in 454 Casull, 475 LB, 500 JRH and 500 LB are pretty popular, too.

You'd be well set, IMO, with a 6-shot BFR in 41 mag, 44 mag or 45 Colt. For 357 mag, I'll stick with my old model Ruger Blackhawk.

I've had several BFR's and they're really nice guns for the money. That said, they're huge and make a SBH look flimsy...almost. I'd rather have a SBH 44 or BH 357 (and have both), the BFR's are really that big.
