Who does a great trigger job on a BHP, preferably in the Nashville area, and what would be a ball park figure for it?

Thanks...

BHP Trigger Job

I didn't say this, but an almost instant trigger job would be to remove the magazine saftey from your pistol. Your trigger pull should decrease by at least 11/2 lbs and be just as safe. But beware that it will fire w/o a mag just like a 1911A1.

Some of the finest action and trigger work done on HPs is done by Cylinder and Slide out of AZ. They manufacture several parts including an oversized trigger bar that allows them to custom fit it for an actuall, crisp trigger pull.
The trigger seems to be the low point in the design of my altime favorite pistol.
Enjoy your HP Amigo,

BHP

Unless he has moved Bill Laughridge and Cylinder & slide is in Fremont Nebraska. They do good work. But I like knowing who is working on my gun. The action works is a one man operation. Don Williams is still my choice.

C&S

They had a nice booth at the shot show. I have been wanting a C&S Pathfinder or older Behlert chopped Hi Power. One of their gunsmsiths who does the Pathfinders let me handle one and detailed the pros and cons. Nice guys.

I'm not sure of the others mentioned, but Yost-Bontiz (Ted Yost as mentioned before) do a trigger job that involves shortening the trigger travel which as I understand it is a pretty sweet mod. To my knowledge they are the only ones doing this.

There are other folks out there that will "shorten" the pull a bit. It involves relocating the fulcrum hole for the trigger toggle in the slide. A do it yourself kind of guy would have to take one heck of a deep breath before trying this one. I've done considerable work on HPs but wouldn't give that one a go without a true milling machine to line everything up perfectly. One mistake and your slide is ruined. The guys who do this are worth every penny you will pay them.
