Big +1 for skateboard tape on frontstrap

I just wish it stuck better in applications where the edges can't be mechanically secured by grip panels

Round off your corners, that'll eliminate the angle that tends to get caught on stuff and come up.

I've got all 4 sides of the grip on my Springfield XD40 taped with skateboard tape. I find that it gives a superior grip over rubber when the grips get really wet.

I'm a taper myself...sold on it. My hands sweat quite a bit, finger grooves don't help me at all.

OK, I opted to use skateboard tape on my frontstrap rather than have my aluminum frame checkered or stippled when I had the custom work done on my Colt Defender but:

Anyway, without the weight up front, I would have to readjust my grip from time to time while shooting.

There isn't enough weight in the guide rod to cause your grip to to have to be re-adjusted:confused:

Thanks

I don't like shooting wimp loads but my grip slips on my SIG pistols this stuff is great,

Thanks,Keith

Just put some on the side of the slide of my G27, (its kinda hard to cock in the middle of the night) I appreciate whoever said to round off the edges. Not only do the rounded edges look better they really are more snag free. I still have plenty left and have started to look at all of my other guns and think...I could tape that.

Good thread. After reading about skateboard tape, I ended up putting it on all my pistols, and the grip area near my shotgun. I recommend it.
