On an 18' AR, Ill be putting a hogue rifle length handguard...are there any accessories with which to mount a bipod?

I purchased one of these...(the threaded type)

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=25014/Product/TACTICAL_SWIVEL_MOUNTS

Then drilled and tapped the Hogue tube. If I remember right, this isn't a "standard" size thread, it required me to borrow a special tap from a friend. I mounted a Harris bi-pod to mine. Due to the way that the Harris design apply's quite a bit of pressure when tightened down the swivel portion of the part pulled out from the threaded portion. This was fixed by using a punch to apply a slight "mushroom" to the end of the stud portion after re-assembling it...

I also used a drop of blue loc-tite between the steel threads and the aluminum tube, just in case.

I've had zero issues, the end result is a very clean, low-profile type design. I also added one the these studs on the side to accept a sling. I found that mounting the sling on the side of the rifle lets it ride much flatter on your back.

Hope this helps...
