With all the choices of bipods that are on the market, which ones do you prefer. I've got a DPMS 308 coming in September and did not order a bipod for it. Any suggestions. I do a good bit of bench shooting but also like to get prone quite often when still hunting open fields etc. will be using this rifle to hunt deer with.

Hey, Mike2 I'm sold on the Harris swivel style bipods. They are well built and easy to put on and take off. They are a bit pricey, but worth the money in my opinion. I have two, the bench rest 6-9" and the longest for prone and for use in the seated position for woodchucks, coyotes, and fox in the field.

I have a harris, and could not ask for anything more, short of anti-gravity generators:D Solid, easily adjustable legs, and detaches fast.
