Just traded into a birth-year gun, my first. This one is an S-prefix serial-number S&W 27-2 with a five-inch barrel. I’ve had a long-standing appreciation for five-inch 27s, and this one joins an N-prefix that I’ve otherwise posted about here recently.
It came to me with a set of vintage-y non-relieved factory Target stocks (I’ll have a to grab a pic of those separately), and I’ve installed a set of Bear Hug grips that were previously mounted on a different 27. The gun is posed on its presentation case - I’m pleased to have that along with all the usual tools and papers, etc., but this gun likely won’t spend a lot of time there - to the range with this one soon, Lord willing!
If you feel so inclined, chime-in with your own birth-year revolvers!
