I've a stainless Ruger Vaqero with the standard grip frame, and have read that it is interchangeable with the Bisley. I checked Ruger's catalog, but didn't see anything saying you could buy a Bisley grip frame by itself. Is this possible? Or, is there another maker of aftermarket stainless Bisley frames you can order from? Thanks for the help...

Brownells sells a kit with the Bisley frame, hammer, trigger, and other assorted original Ruger parts. But the frame is oversized and it can take some time and patience and elbow grease to fit it. It took me the better part of a weekend to get mine in place.

Also, although the hammer and trigger are supposed to be drop-in, I had a problem with the pawl needing fitting as the cylinder engaged the stop long before the trigger engaged the hammer. Once again, that fitting was easy, but required time and even more patience (especially since I ordered a new pawl so I could restore all the original parts if needed).
