In high school I had a sporterized one under my bed. Someone said Sears & Roebuck offered them as low cost farmers guns. Never found ammo for it back then. five years after it was gone a friend let me shoot a proper rifle…. glad I never shot that much lightened “carbine” with the rifle ammo.
