My brother, who is in the academy :D is having difficulty with his Serpa Level III retention holster. It is department issued, for a Sig 220. It likes to hold onto that gun like it was Level VIII or something :/

It seems like the judicious use of a dremel or sandpaper might loosen up the tolerances so that the holster fits the gun, but he hesitates
because he'd rather not "tamper" with a department issued piece of equipment.

Other than repeatedly drawing and reholstering thE weapon, what can he do to loosen up the holster so he doesn't have to wrestl his weapon?

There is a screw on the side that he can adjust to increase or reduce the tension.
