Anyone have a .32 convertible Blackhawk (.32 H&R / .32-20 WCF)?

Think the .32 H&R cyl. could be re-chambered to .32 Fed Mag?

Shouldn't be a problem for any gunsmith good at that type of work, a Blackhawk cylinder has plenty of steel to handle the .327 federal.

Certainly possible. To many folks though, defacing such a model would be very frowned upon. Personally, the .32 is better suited to the medium sized frame or better still the Single Six frame. The better gunsmiths are doing conversions to both.

Absolutely. Though, as suggested, the cartridge is really better suited to the Single Six. Although that is a much more expensive prospect.

that's a good point..
I think I'll call Ruger and see if they can sell me another .32 H&R cyl., and then re-chamber that..

They won't just sell you one with you sending them the gun and having it fitted. For all that, be better to simply send it off to one of the better gunsmiths and have them do the while thing.

As far as custom work goes, rechambering is cheap, dirt cheap. Bowen's $1200 RS06 package is a caliber conversion that entails a new cylinder and new barrel. A rechambering job is usually $150-$200. Because he doesn't need a new cylinder or barrel.
