Basically what the title says. Has anyone chrono'd these rounds? Are they considered a mild magnum or one with some oomph to it. It felt pretty good out of my SP101 yesterday and was wondering where it ranked. I know it wont compare to BB ,Corbon, DT or the likes but it was cheap and fairly accurate.

Uses would be round for hiking in the scary woods and possibly self defense.

I believe it is spec'd out at 1150 fps from a 4 inch barrel which would make it on the mild side. A few years ago they changed the bullet from a pretty decent hollowpoint to something not much more than a dimple. It does shoot pretty well and I've used plenty of it. I don't think the aluminum cases eject as smoothly.

relatively mild.......but good for plinkin'. I haven't used any since the late 90's tho.

Before pricing got insane I used the Blazer aluminum cased .357 all the time for target shooting and plinking.

I count it as powder puff power rating for .357magnum. Out of my Ruger GP100 w 6" barrel it is very easy on the hand.

Could shoot boxes of the stuff without any recoil related issues.

Reload now though so... Not used any Blazer in quite some time.
