I have a Winchester 22 that I am going to donate for a fundraiser. The reciever is aluminum and needs touch-up. Do they sell a product that will take care of this?
I've used this stuff for really minor touch-up with okay results. As rcmodel already noted, though, the very best results will be from a complete refinish and that is the route you should take if you want the rifle to look its best. I refinished a couple guns with spray paint and got decent results. You want to buy good quality paint, of course, but the real key is in proper prep and curing. It takes time, but it isn't difficult. I refinished an AK and a Llama .45 with hardware store spraypaint and used a halogen work light to bake them. That was back in 2001-ish. The guy who bought the AK and my brother who has the Llama both report the finish holding up well.
