Bobtailing an Officers 1911?

Since it seems like all the Bobtail models i've seen are for Govt and Comm. models, does anybody make a bobtail housing for the Officer's model? I have a 3.5" Charles Daly ECS and it fits me well, but pokes me a little. I plan to do it to my PT1911 anyway so figured i'd offset the cost of the jig by doing the mod on two....plus the jig should work for both frames right? Its either that or try to find a cheap Kobra Carry . Thanks.

I thought a bobtail used officer frame parts to make it all fit.

I don't know about doing it yourself, though. It's been done but his is the only example I'm aware of with a bobtail on an Officer's frame.
