I'm interested in replacing my venerable walther tph with a s&w bodyguard 380 for use as a backup carried in my pocket.I did a search and some problems with the firing pin and laser mounting bolt come up. have these issues been fixed or should I look elsewhere?

The laser mount bolt seems to have been fixed on my wife's. No problems with the present one anyway. I haven't seen anything about the firing pin, but I haven't looked for it either. The wife's works great though. She loves the laser, but I ignore it. It is accurate to POI though.

Only "problem" I had was I pocket carried and I constantly hit the laser button by accident, always had dead batteries lol, but I never used the laser anyhow, the sights are more than adequate

My advice is get the lc9 with the laserlight pre installed. I posted at target I shot the second time, I only had function tested it the first. It hit every time out to 25 yards. At 75 feet every round was on the target, most in the 9 and 10, using just the laser, "just look for my post" i's a week or two old. It took out the left center of the other target, and all 4 corners, using a sight in rifle 100yd target. If it can put 4-5 holes in a cup sized hole at 50 and 75 feet with only the laser, it's darn accurate.
