I love my CZ-527

I'll add another vote for a CZ-527 in 223. I've got one and I love it. Bought mine used at the local Gander Mountain. Mine is a couple years old with a sunburst laminate stock on it. I've got it set up with high rings and a Nikon Buckmasters 6-18x zoom Mil-Dot scope. Off a rest with my handloads, I easily put 10 rounds into a 50cent piece group and I'm not that great of a shooter. I love the target trigger on it as well. Flick the trigger forward and it just takes a breath worth of pressure to set it off. Very light rifle. I love it!!

JoeMal:

I thought of you and several others this past few weeks as I got ready to go to the farm and test some handloads. This thread is for you fellas who ask (rightfully) about different rifles, calibers, brass, projectiles, scopes, etc: http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=537502

Truth is, I think there are many good set-ups, and they aren't all expensive. Hope you enjoy the thread.

another vote for the CZ, for the varmint kevlar you get allot of gun for the money
heavy 24" hammer forged chrome lined barrel
single set trigger
kevlar reinforced fiberglass stock
aluminum bedding block for free floating the barrel
control round feed
5 round detachable magazine

Now see, I didn't know that the CZ had a chrome-lined bore. Add the value of the detachable magazine ($300 to $400 depending on the after-market manufacturer), and you have a rifle that's perhaps near "point of rationality"...most rifle for the least money. I'm sitting here green with envy! That's sharp!
