The CZ 527 Varmint is built nice with a killer trigger but I don't care for the 1:12 twist all that much. I have an older Savage model 110 that's 1:8 (iirc) that shoots better for me. Either one will punch small groups with the right ammo but the CZ feels much better ergonomically when I handle it compared to the Savage.
I had a 24" J&T upper (1:8 twist) on a RRA lower that I sold awhile back and wish I didn't. It was just as accurate as the bolt rifles and more fun to shoot because it was semi-auto. I'll be building another one of those soon.
