I just got a Bond Arms Snake Slayer in 45LC/.410. I've only had a chance to put a couple rounds through it but there is no doubt it will do what the name says. At approx. 10 feet any pest would be dead with the 7 1/2 shot 2 1/2in shells I tried. I'm looking forward to trying some 3in shells and some of the fancy Winchester PDX1 410 shells with the discs/BB combo. I'm not planning on using this as a personal defense pistol but with .45LC or possibly those PDX1 shells at close range it would do the job.

As far as the pistol goes, it's built like a tank. very easy to carry and shoot. it does take some time to get used to pulling the trigger up and back rather than just back, but after a little practice it's easy. If you're looking for something to carry in snake country this is it. It will throw more shot than the .38 Spl or .44 shotshells and you can load it with .45LC. Now I just have to figure out which set of barrels to get next.

I view those guns as being useless as boobs on a bull boa constrictor. AND I want one BADLY!

Enjoy yours! I hear that they are great little fun guns.

One solid little chunk of steel. Throw some clay pigeons up in the air and shoot them with birdshot. Tell the wife you're shooting 45 colts.

"Useless" is a harsh word. I was carrying a J-Frame loaded with .38 ratshot for snakes while I hunt but this give me a lot more confidence that if I come across one I can take care of it quickly.

My daughter loves hers. For the weight I'd rather carry something else. My daughter lives in Louisiana, and has saved her from snakes several times.
