So is length the only difference when listed in same caliber? How much shorter or easier is the pistol snake?

yup... the pistol is only for convenience... If possible, I get the rifle caliber snakes to cover a wider variety of weapons... pulling through an extra few inches of bore snake is not going to hurt the gun in any way... at least... that is my rational.. I dont like to have a lot of duplicate things if I can avoid it.

or easier
Well, it is harder then a good cleaning rod is all I know.
I can run a bronze brush on a rod through a bore several times while I am threading a bore-snake through a barrel once.

And a Bore-Snake is worthless to really clean a gun totally.

Jacket fouling & hard carbon chamber fouling cannot be removed with a bore snake.

it should be very easy, tilt the gun down and drop the brass end of the boresnake into the breech end and gravity will pull it down until its coming out of the muzzle, then you just grab it and pull the boresnake through.

works plenty good for me on .22-.38-.357-9x19-9x18-9x17-17m2-223-270-3030-3006-308-762x54-762x39

dont shoot soft lead tho, only fmj and hunting loads and plated handgun bulllets for reloads
